Join our airport-based team as a Senior Systems Engineer and showcase your advanced knowledge and experience of electrical engineering, automation and control systems engineering.

Reporting to the Team Lead, you will have proven advanced technical expertise in electrical engineering, automation and control systems engineering. You will be accountable for successfully and competently delivering complex engineering solutions for projects within requirements, schedule and budget in their area(s) of expertise. You will provide mentoring and leadership to Graduate/Junior Engineers and have the ability to lead a technical team and manage their delivery performance. You will be confident in liaising directly with clients in developing and refining scopes of work as needed.

About these roles:

As an Engineer within the Airport Management Systems team, you will be based at Sydney Airport (Mascot) and have strong experience of Siemens TIA Portal, Ignition, and MODBUS TCP/RTU.

As an Engineer within the Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) team, you will be based at Sydney Airport (Mascot) and have strong experience of Siemens S7 TIA Portal combined with previous experience of conveyor systems within an airport, manufacturing or warehousing/logistics environment. There will be regular night shifts with this role.

Skills & Experience:

• You will have an appropriate Electrical Engineering qualification combined with at least 5 years of verifiable experience working within the automation industry.
• You must have proven strong knowledge of Siemens software.
• You will have proven systems experience within airport, manufacturing or warehousing/logistics sectors that utilise conveyor systems and controls.
• Candidates with excellent communications skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders to elicit and understand their requirements to deliver a high-quality service, will be highly regarded.
• You must have current unrestricted Australian Work Rights.
