Electrical Design Engineer
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team based in Tonsley Innovation District, just 20 minutes south of Adelaide CBD.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team based in Tonsley Innovation District, just 20 minutes south of Adelaide CBD.
The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for managing design activities to deliver design outcomes. They are accountable for successfully and competently delivering design solutions and activities for projects within schedule, requirements, budget and in line with company processes and procedures.
The Design Engineer will advise and assist the lead engineers and project managers in technical and management aspects of project design as well as developing related supporting documentation. They will also support projects with initial and on-going customer relationships in determination and analysis of customer project requirements.
In this role you will:
Deliver technical design solutions that meet the requirements and scope of the project.
Complete electrical design calculations to support project design tasks.
Analyse risk, cost and technical capability in design solutions.
Develop technical documentation for the design stages of project delivery; this includes User Requirements Specifications, Functional Specifications, Traceability Matrix, Validation Test Plans etc.
Support engineers to meet project requirements for design activities.
Assist project managers with project engineering scope development.
Provide expert analysis to design queries from SAGE Project management.
Assist with mentoring engineers in design related activities.
Apply electrical wiring and panel building solutions based on ELV and LV designs.
Positively manage customer relationships in the capacity of the ‘technical expert’.
Skills and Experience:
Appropriate Engineering qualifications or a minimum of 3 years verifiable industry experience working as an Electrical Design Engineer.
Demonstrable knowledge of good engineering practices and principles with the ability to apply AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules and Electrical Regulations to designs.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to develop and manage both internal and external relationships.
