We are currently seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to become an integral part of our service team in Sydney. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to deliver exceptional outcomes to our valued clients.
As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a pivotal role by offering leadership, engineering expertise, and technical support for complex service projects. This is a full-time, permanent position ideal for a qualified engineer with experience in industrial controls and automation. Reporting to the Service Manager - NSW, you will be responsible for the execution and support of services, including minor works, repairs, and preventative maintenance on PLC, SCADA, HMI equipment, and software for SAGE clients. The role demands excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proven ability to solve problems.
In this role you will:
Implement safety plans with a safety-first approach throughout all service deliveries.
Lead specialized and complex installations and maintenance projects for electrical control systems and equipment.
Apply creativity and resourcefulness to resolve issues that may arise during service and maintenance tasks.
Provide first response and/or support to resolve new and urgent service requirements.
Identify and mitigate technical risks, escalating high-risk items to management when necessary.
Manage the quality of technical deliverables.
Act as a mentor and provide support for the technical development of Automation Technicians.
Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of repairs and service records.
Skills & Experience:
Appropriate Engineering qualifications or verifiable industry experience working as an Electrical Engineer.
Minimum of two year’s experience within the automation industry.
Demonstrable knowledge of good engineering practices and principles.
